What is SAIF?
The Southern Africa Institute of Fundraising (SAIF) (008-166NPO) was established in 1986 to promote the highest ethical and professional standards of fundraising practice and is the only body representing and supporting the fundraising profession in Southern Africa.
SAIF is a member-based national organisation with branches in regional centres and seeks to become the pre-eminent body to which everyone employed in the fundraising profession aspires to belong and to be respected by all stakeholders in charitable endeavour.
The present membership component consists of full-time fund development officers, fundraising and public relations consultants, fundraising volunteers and board members or CEOs who participate in the financial sustainability of their cause from all sectors of society.
SAIF members adhere to a strict code of professional ethics that are compliant with international standards. SAIF promotes the value of giving and reinforces the central importance of donors and their rights.
